Distribution Research

Magazines are most often distributed in stores, traditionally. Everyone knows how there is always a rack in the checkout line at the grocery store. The ones on the top shelf are the the most coveted spots  because they are eye level with the consumers. Having the print products, establish reputation for the brand. Brands also say that having a physical product makes a consumer feel more in touch due to the fact that they can actually feel it. The most common means of distribution for print media are direct mailing, street vendors, and local businesses. This gives the magazine an opportunity to get their name out on the street. Most magazines have an agreement with some type of other business to help promote them as well. I would partner with an organization that would either give me promotion or put me on magazine shelves in stores.
